Course Overview

The First Aid, CPR, and AED course is a comprehensive program designed to empower non-clinical professionals, corporate teams, and allied healthcare workers with vital skills to manage the first critical minutes of a medical emergency. In the UAE, strict occupational health and safety regulations mandate that commercial, industrial, and educational institutions maintain a workforce capable of providing immediate first aid. Participants are immersed in highly interactive sessions that demystify the emergency response process. The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of acute scenarios — from sudden cardiac arrest and severe haemorrhaging to environmental emergencies highly prevalent in the UAE climate, such as heat stroke and dehydration. Training emphasizes rescuer safety, rapid victim assessment, and immediate application of life-sustaining measures. By completing this certification, candidates fulfil stringent workplace regulatory requirements while contributing significantly to community resilience — leaving fully equipped to stabilize injuries, deploy an AED, and provide high-quality CPR in any environment.

What You'll Learn

First aider's role, legal protections, obtaining victim consent, and personal safety through standard precautions and PPE
Systematic scene assessment and primary evaluation of an unresponsive or injured individual
High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants with correct hand placement, compression depth, and pacing
Safe and rapid AED deployment across various age groups and environmental conditions
Airway obstruction management: back blows, abdominal thrusts, and chest thrusts for choking victims of all ages
Haemorrhage control: direct pressure, pressure bandages, and tourniquet application for severe bleeding
Recognition and first-line management of heart attack, stroke, seizures, asthma exacerbations, and anaphylaxis
Stabilization of traumatic injuries: fractures, sprains, burns, and suspected spinal cord injuries
Identification and treatment of heat exhaustion vs. life-threatening heat stroke (critical for UAE climate)
Post-incident procedures including psychological first aid and effective clinical handover to arriving EMS
