Course Overview

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training provides essential clinical skills and evidence-based protocols for responding to newborn emergencies at birth. Participants learn how to assess newborn vitals, deliver positive-pressure ventilation, manage advanced airways, perform chest compressions, and coordinate life-saving interventions in critical delivery situations. Through focused, scenario-based training, candidates build the clinical clarity needed to recognize a newborn in distress early and respond with the correct sequence of interventions — from initial thermal care and stimulation through to advanced resuscitation measures when required. Graduates return to their delivery rooms and NICUs with practical, hands-on competence in newborn resuscitation, supporting safer outcomes during the most critical moments of a newborn's transition to life outside the womb.
